July 20, 2008 - I'm safely back in Lancaster after a wonderful 3 months in Norway, working on finishing my album and reconnecting with people in the area. Come out to Purple Door Music and Arts Festival on August 15-16th if you can - I will be playing on the sidestage Saturday morning at 10:30am!

April 14, 2008 - Well, I'm sitting here in Newark airport, about to board the flight to London and then on to Norway. What will the next three months bring? We shall see... The show with Greg Gilbertson was great - we had a fun time, and he's a phenomenal player. We can only hope for more collaboration in the future with Greg and other musicians of his caliber.
February 13, 2008 - Have you heard my new jazz tune? I recorded it live with a jazz trio, and it's sounding great! If you'd like a rough MP3 version, just send me an email (ringrecords AT gmail DOT com) and I'll email you the mp3. The album is progressing quite rapidly, and i'm looking forward to spring.
January 21, 2008 - The new year is upon us. I'm setting up shows and continuing to work on the full-length album, getting some good tracks. I also moved into Lancaster city, and adjusting to life there. Moving is always a process. Adding new shows all the time - check out the 'Shows' tab for details on where I might be playing near you!
December 29, 2007 - What a great Christmas holiday this has been! Thanks to everyone for their support, we really enjoyed playing music for you, and from the feedback we got you guys enjoyed listening. I'm now going to return to working on my full-length album, as well as helping Katie Becker record some of her songs. You might hear me on some of Matt Monticchio's and David Green's tracks too. Keep listening to 88.7 WXPN and 90.3 WJTL as we enter the new year, and look for more great music to come from Ring Records and Pageant Music!
December 3, 2007 - Wow! You guys rock the house - the Christmas album just sold out of the second printing, and we had to order more. Thanks to everyone who's been showing up at shows, too - we play better when you're there! Keep in mind that while you can buy the physical CD from Borders or at a show, you can also find the album on iTunes now, as well as on Amazon.com and other online outlets. Spread the word!

November 1, 2007 - The Christmas album is almost done! Check out my MySpace site to hear a demo of one of the original tunes, O Little Child. I hope to have some of the songs up on this website soon as well. We are currently mastering the CD, and pre-orders are available for $7 (after Thanksgiving the price goes up to $10) - send me an email to find out where to send the check. We are also working on setting up some Christmas shows - check back soon to find out where and when!
October 5, 2007 - I'm back from Spain! I had a great time in Granada with my friends Andrew and Jamie Leonhard. I really enjoyed the culture and meeting new people and getting to practice Spanish. I would really like to go back, so we'll see what happens over the next year or so. But for now, the Apple Festival is Tomorrow! If you can, stop by and enjoy some apples and many more great tasty treats. (and music, of course, around 11:45)

July 14, 2007 - NEW live scratch tracks (guitar and vocals) recorded and mixed! DOWNLOAD THEM ONLINE at www.discrevolt.com/hiramring ! Click on the 'Albums' tab to see the new songs. You can use a DiscRevolt card (available at shows), or you can buy a card online (click on their 'Store' tab) and download direct from the site! (There's also 2 FREE songs available for download) This DiscRevolt site is the only place these songs will be available until the full-length album (with orchestration and multiple other instruments, sounds, and voices too) is released, hopefully in the spring of 2008. And you guys get the sneak preview!

In other news - i've been laying down some scratch tracks (vocals and guitar) for songs on the full-length album, which will hopefully be available sometime next year. March 20, 07 - I just registered for Cornerstone Music Festival's 'New Bands Showcase'. In case you don't know, Cornerstone is quite possibly THE best christian music festivals in the US, with 300+ bands, great teaching and the incredible experience of living in close quarters with on-fire brothers and sisters. If you've never been there, you should plan on making it part of one of your summer experiences! Playing at this event is a great opportunity for me to learn more about what God wants to do with this music. But in order to play there, I need to be voted in. Jan 27, 07 - Thanks to everyone who has come out to the shows this past month. It has been a lot of fun to see familiar faces and a bunch of new ones! The EP post-production has been going well - we are totally psyched not only about the songs and their progress, but also about the incredible design that David Altrogge is doing! This is going to be an awesome EP! We're hoping to make it available in two weeks.
